Nickel Alloy Forging Ring Hastelloy C276 UNS N10276 Evaporator Paper Industry
Nickle Alloy Ring are the most common in forged metals. Through open die forging, the metal is formed into something that's shaped like a doughnubefore it's heated between 400 and 700'c. Next, it's placed on a mandrel or idler rol that increases the steel ring's diameters and reduces thethickness of its walls. You can find them in machinery and equipment, vehicles, pipes and valves, and other hardware. Almost all vehicles and otherheavy machinery make use of them because they are durable and easy to replace and look for.
Hastelloy C276 (UNS N10276) is a nickel-molybdenum alloy withuniversal corrosion resistance unmatched by any other alloy. C276 is also known as Inconel C276 or Hastelloy C276 and is an improved wrought version of alloy C inthat it usualy doesn't need to be solution heat-treatedafter welding and has vastly improved fabricability. Thisaloy is resistant to the formation of grain boundaryprecipitates, specifically in the weld-heat affected zone. This attribute makes it suitable for use in the as-welded condition. It has excellent resistance to both localizedcorrosion and oxidizing or reducing media. Because of itsversatility, it can be used where corrosive conditions are likely to occur or in multipurpose plants. It's native corrosion resistant properties extendto a wide variety of chemical process environments, including strong oxidizers such as ferric and cupric chlorides, hot contaminated media(organic and inorganic),chlorine, formic and acetic acids, aceticanhydride, and seawater and brine solutions.
Applications
Some typical applications include equipment componentsin chemical
and petrochemical organic chloride processesand processes utilizing
halide or acid catalysts. therindustry applications are pulp and
paper (digesters andbleach areas),scrubbers and ducting for flue
gas desufurization,pharmaceutical, and food processingequipment.
The sheet 0.044" thick in the heat-treatedcondition at 2050
°F,rapid quenched, has an averageolsen cup depth of 0.48".C-276 can
be successfullyfabricated by many methods. The alloy tends to
workarden but with the proper care, the alloy is readily hotand
cold formed. Digesters and bleach plants in the paper industry.
Components exposed to sour gas.Equipment for flue-gas
desulphurisation plants. Evaporators, heat exchangers, filters and
mixers used in sulphuric acid enyironments. Sulphuric acid
reactors. Organic chloride process equipment. Equipment for
processes utilising halide or acid catalysts.
