Automotive sensor test standard:
1, temperature sensor
The most commonly used temperature sensors are thermistor sensors,
which are made of heat-sensitive materials. When testing the
cooling heat temperature sensor, put the sensor into a cup with hot
water, and use a multimeter to test its resistance value. The
resistance value should decrease gradually with the decrease of
temperature, and the resistance value should increase gradually
when the sensor is removed.
2, pressure sensor
Pressure sensors are used to detect intake pressure and liquid
pressure. The sensor is generally made of pressure sensitive
tablets. When detecting the intake pressure sensor, start the
engine, and detect the voltage between feet 1 and 2 of the sensor
with universal variation. After the engine temperature is normal,
step on the accelerator pedal several times, and the voltage value
should vary between 0.6-4.6V.
3, air flow sensor
Air flow sensors are used to measure the amount of air drawn into
the engine, and hot wire air flow sensors are now used. Use a
multimeter to measure the voltage between two pins. The voltage
should be about 5V. When the voltage is normal, blow air into the
sensor with a hair dryer. The signal voltage should change
sensitively with the size of the air intake.
4, speed sensor
The speed sensor is used to detect the speed of the wheel,
generally using electromagnetic sensor. During detection, unplug
the sensor plug and use a multimeter to detect the resistance
between the two feet should be 800-1200 ohms, where the resistance
between the two feet and the ground should be infinite.
5, position and Angle sensor
Position and Angle sensor When detecting the throttle position
sensor, turn on the ignition switch and use a multimeter to measure
the voltage between pins B and C. The voltage should be about 4.7V
when the throttle is fully open and 0.7V when the throttle is fully
closed.
