Physically, the additional shielding gives the seven types of wires a larger wire diameter.

The parameters of the seven types of systems require that all line pairs provide at least 60dB of integrated near-end string winding at 600MHz of the connector.However, the Cat5E system only requires 43dB at 100MHz, and the value of Cat6 at 250MHz is 46dB.
